ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Carly Chivers

Carly's (she/her) journey naturally led her to become a counsellor. Coming from a strong background in athletics, Carly was a collegiate athlete at Brandon University, where she honed her abilities to overcome challenges. However, a series of injuries eventually ended her athletic career, prompting her to embark on a different path that required a deeper sense of inner awareness and gentleness.

In 2012, after years of exploration and travel, Carly co-founded a yoga and surf retreat company for women, allowing her to share the joys of connecting with nature and embodiment practices.

In 2017, driven by a desire to enhance the support she could provide to clients, she returned to her academic studies. After completing a three-year program in Transpersonal Psychology and Therapeutic Counselling, followed by supervision and practicum hours, Carly earned her license as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counsellors of Canada (#2854).

Since 2021, she has operated a private counselling practice and facilitated Support Groups. She feels privilege to accompany you on your distinctive journey of healing and transformation.

“I hope you will go out and let stories, that is life, happen to you, and that you will work with these stories from your life--not someone else's life--water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom. That is the work. The only work.”
