Meet the Your Facilitators

Kris Garner

With over two decades of experience in child care and education, Kris has a deep understanding of the challenges that can prevent students from effectively learning and engaging with academic content.

After experiencing acute burnout, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery and gained extensive knowledge in trauma-informed systems, fostering trauma resiliency, Bioenergetics, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, somatic practices for stress relief, and communication strategies. She received her Yoga Teacher Training in Ecuador in 2017, is trained in the Shamanic Arts (singing, dancing, theatre, and storytelling as traditional healing modalities) and has worked alongside psychologists and counsellors to deepen her knowledge of human psychology.

With her passion for the art of instruction, she founded The Emotional Literacy Movement in 2021, an agency focused on making emotional literacy education accessible to the public, particularly youth. Her diverse background and extensive knowledge make her an exceptional resource for anyone seeking to develop self-knowledge, advocate for their needs, set boundaries, process emotions, and effectively self-regulate.
